My good friend spent three days in the hospital before her son popped out. Three days of poking and prodding and machines that go “beep”. She said it was hot and sticky and miserable and definitely in the “no fun” category. Again, I know that this isn’t a situation that would definitely happen to me, but I’ll take a pass anyway.

I don’t want children because everyone I know that has a child is less happy than I am. That has to mean something, right? And the truth is, I’m not even all that happy to begin with!
It seems to me that when you have a child you give up your happiness to make the child happy. But wait- does anyone know a teenager who is actually happy?
So tell me, why in the world does anyone even have kids? Because I sure as fuck can’t figure it out.

Travel plans are exponentially more complicated. I am concerned that I won’t have a good time. Forget being responsible for some kid(s) who probably wouldn’t appreciate visiting St. Peter’s Bascilica.
